Le Galet seemed like an apt name, seeing as we’re in Nice and our beaches are covered in
pebbles [Galet in French] – we weren’t going to call ourselves ‘grain of sand’ after all…
Our pebbles are, first and foremost, the roots of our city and the symbol of the Promenade
des Anglais. “But they hurt your feet…” You surely haven’t come across our pebbles: we
have the smoothest ones on the French Riviera.
